Project 64: White

I really wanted to photograph footprints in the white sand but….
Day 1 – too windy.  As soon as you made a footprint it would disappear.
Day 2 -too sunny.  All you could see was a white glare.  I have not figured out how to take photos on a bright sunny day at the beach.
Day 3 –  windy again.
So this is what I came across when I got home.

a charming little statue, fits nicely with white! As far as not blowing out white things you are trying to photograph, like white sand, watch your light meter in the veiw finder of your camera, its the little scale thing with tic marks, you probably want it slightly on the right side of the middle mark to slightly underexpose it. Make sure you are point your camera at the sand not another object so you will meter the sand not something else.
